Sheffield Wednesday boss explains mystery absence of Owls and AC Milan man…

The Sheffield Wednesday manager sheds light on the absence of Devis Vasquez, who has not been visible in recent photos and videos since Danny Röhl’s arrival.

Röhl, the new German manager of the Owls, conducted his initial training session on Monday as part of the preparations for the upcoming game against Watford on Saturday. However, Devis Vasquez, the AC Milan player, was conspicuously absent from all the club’s released content.

While Cameron Dawson, Pierce Charles, and Jack Hall were observed training at Middlewood Road in preparation for the Vicarage Road trip, fans raised questions about the Colombian loanee’s whereabouts, particularly since he wasn’t called up to the national team during the recent international break.

Röhl has now clarified that the 25-year-old AC Milan goalkeeper has been dealing with an illness recently, but he is expected to return to training soon. His absence might have influenced the decision on the starting lineup for Saturday’s match.

Sheffield Wednesday currently has Momo Diaby and Juan Delgado sidelined due to injuries. However, these are the only known players unavailable, as Barry Bannan, Josh Windass, Akin Famewo, and Bambo Diaby have all returned to training after recovering from various injuries.

Röhl’s Sheffield Wednesday will face Watford at 3 pm on Saturday in their pursuit of their first Championship victory of the season.
