Tottenham issues verdicts on injury updates amid upcoming match against Fulham…

Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has made a reassuring return to training in preparation for the upcoming match against Fulham, dispelling concerns about his recent injury.

During the international break in October, Sarr was seen with an ice pack on his foot while representing Senegal, sparking doubts about his fitness.

Sarr has been a standout player this season under manager Ange Postecoglou, participating in nine matches across various competitions and receiving consistent playing time.

His fortunes have been aided by the decline in popularity of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Therefore, news of his potential injury during international duty was a cause for concern among Tottenham fans.

Fortunately, according to the Evening Standard, the 21-year-old midfielder returned to training on October 18, providing a positive development for the team.

With the Premier League match against Fulham scheduled for Monday, there is sufficient time for players to recover from the international break. Additionally, the game is being played at home against a team that Tottenham is expected to defeat, which adds further reassurance to the situation.

As a result, there is no need to take unnecessary risks with Sarr’s fitness. It is also anticipated that Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min will be available to play against Fulham.

All in all, it appears that the international break has not caused significant harm to the team, despite the inconvenience it posed, as noted by James Maddison.

Furthermore, once Rodrigo Bentancur, who suffered a long-term knee injury last season, returns, Tottenham’s midfield will be exceptionally strong. For Sarr, it seems that his future with Tottenham is set to improve.
