Latest Updates Emerged Regarding Birmingham City Managerial Position With England International in Line…

Wayne Rooney is rumored to be a potential candidate for the Championship team Birmingham City, and if he secures the position, he has plans to bring two former colleagues on board for his coaching staff.

Reports suggest that Wayne Rooney intends to enlist Ashley Cole and John O’Shea as part of his coaching team if he takes over from the current head coach, John Eustace, at Birmingham City.

This speculation has gained traction recently, with Rooney being considered a top contender to replace Eustace. Eustace himself has been linked to managerial opportunities at Rangers and in the Premier League.

Although Wayne Rooney has downplayed his connection to Birmingham City, there is ongoing interest from the club’s leadership. BBC 5 Live even suggests that a deal for Rooney to replace Eustace has already been finalized, with Ashley Cole and John O’Shea joining him as part of his new coaching setup.

Cole previously played alongside Rooney for the England national team, while O’Shea was a teammate of Rooney’s during their time at Manchester United.

John Eustace has performed admirably as the head coach of Birmingham City since his appointment last summer, with the team currently occupying the sixth position in the Championship.

However, the new owners of Birmingham City, led by Tom Wagner from Knighthead Capital, are reportedly keen on Wayne Rooney, who would bring more star power to the role.

Wayne Rooney himself commented on his departure from his previous coaching position at DC United, emphasizing that it was the right time for the change and expressing gratitude to the club’s staff and players.

DC United CEO and co-chairman Jason Levien also expressed appreciation for Rooney’s contributions to the club and explained that parting ways would allow for a fresh start with a new General Manager and Head Coach to shape the team’s future.
