Maresca sends a stunning warning message to Leicester City first-team amid upcoming matches…

Maresca has called on a Leicester City first-team player to maintain full concentration during matches.

Enzo Maresca’s tenure at Leicester City has been quite successful, as the team currently leads the Championship with nine wins out of ten matches in the 2023/24 season.

Similar to Mikel Arteta, who previously worked with Pep Guardiola before taking a managerial role at Arsenal, Maresca has also transitioned from being an assistant coach to a head coach and has achieved rapid success.

However, Maresca is facing challenges, and he seems particularly dissatisfied with one of his players, Wout Faes. In a recent pre-match press conference, he stated, “I’ve had numerous conversations with Wout (Faes).

In my opinion, he has the potential to become a top-tier central defender. However, he needs to realize that the key is to maintain constant focus and always give 100 percent in every game.”

Maresca pointed out that there are moments during matches when Faes appears to lose concentration, and he emphasized that to be a top central defender, one must remain fully focused for the entire 95 minutes of a game.

While Leicester is currently leading the Championship, Maresca is well aware that this league is highly competitive and challenging.

Maintaining a high level of performance over 46 games is a formidable task. Furthermore, as the league leaders, Leicester becomes a target for other teams, who will relish the opportunity to defeat them.

Maresca believes that opponents will give their utmost effort to beat the league leaders, and this could pose a significant challenge to Leicester in the future. Therefore, he expects unwavering focus from his team, with a particular warning directed at Wout Faes.
