They found themselves trailing by three goals at halftime, with goals scored by David McGoldrick, a Macaulay Langstaff penalty, and Dan Crowley. Although Tyrese Shade managed to score a header from Remeao Hutton’s cross, they couldn’t complete a comeback.

Flynn expressed disappointment with his team’s first-half display, attributing their downfall to conceding avoidable goals. He acknowledged that they had opportunities, including a potential penalty claim involving Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.

However, he stressed that giving away goals against a strong team like Notts County created a formidable challenge for Swindon.

In the second half, Swindon Town performed better and was, in Flynn’s opinion, the superior team. He found this aspect frustrating but also acknowledged the positive aspects of the second-half performance.
